FRP Pipes for Waste Gas Treatment

FRP Pipes for Waste Gas Treatment

FRP pipes for waste gas treatment are corrosion-resistant and high-strength pipes made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) as the core material, specially designed for industrial waste gas treatment systems. It is made by the composite process of resin matrix and glass fiber, and has excellent chemical corrosion resistance, light weight, high strength and long life. It is widely used in waste gas emission and treatment systems in chemical, electric power, metallurgy, environmental protection and other industries.

FRP pipes have become the preferred material for modern waste gas treatment systems due to their core advantages of corrosion resistance, high strength and long life. Our factory provides customers with customized, high-performance solutions through strict production processes and quality control, helping industrial environmental protection standards and sustainable development.

Product Performance

  • Corrosion resistance
Can withstand chemical media such as acid, alkali, salt, organic solvents, and its lifespan is 3-5 times that of metal pipes.
  • High strength and light weight
The strength is equivalent to that of steel, and the weight is only 1/4 of that of steel pipes, which is convenient for transportation and installation.
  • High temperature resistance
The operating temperature range is wide (-50℃~180℃), and some resins can be customized to higher temperatures.
  • Low resistance and high flow
The inner wall is smooth (roughness 0.0084), which reduces the flow resistance of exhaust gas and reduces energy consumption.
  • Anti-aging and insulation
Anti-ultraviolet and anti-static design, suitable for complex environments.

Features & Advantages

Economical

The overall cost is lower than that of stainless steel or PP pipes, and the maintenance cost is extremely low.

Modular design supports multiple connection methods such as flanges and sockets, and has high construction efficiency.

No leakage risk, in line with environmental emission standards (such as GB 16297).

The diameter (DN50-DN4000), length, pressure level and special structure (such as insulation layer) can be customized.

Application

  • Industrial Waste Gas Treatment: Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industries: Acidic Waste Gas (HCl, SO₂), Organic Waste Gas (VOCs) Transportation.
  • Power Industry: Flue Duct and Wet Chimney Emissions of Desulfurization (FGD) Systems.
  • Environmental Engineering: Waste Incineration Plant Flue Gas Treatment, Waste Gas Collection of Sewage Treatment Plants.
  • Metallurgy and Building Materials: High-temperature flue gas (such as sintering machine tail gas in steel plants), dust ducts.
  • Other Fields: Laboratory Exhaust, Clean Waste Gas System in Semiconductor Industry.

Production Process

Raw Material Preparation
  • Glass fiber: Use alkali-free glass fiber yarn, chopped strand mat or woven fabric as reinforcement material.

  • Resin matrix: Select corrosion-resistant resin (such as epoxy resin, vinyl ester resin, unsaturated polyester resin) according to working conditions.

  • Auxiliary materials: curing agent, accelerator, UV inhibitor, etc.

  • Twist molding: The resin-impregnated glass fiber is wound on the mold at a designed angle by a CNC winding machine to form a high-strength pipeline structure.

  • Hand lay-up molding: Suitable for special-shaped pipe fittings (such as elbows and tees), which are cured and formed after manual laying.

  • Spraying corrosion-resistant resin layer to form a smooth and impermeable barrier.

  •  Cross-winding high-tension glass fiber to improve mechanical strength.

  • The pipe is cured under constant temperature to ensure that the resin is fully cross-linked.

  • Anti-corrosion coating (such as PTFE) can be added to the inner lining to improve acid and alkali resistance.

  • The outer surface is treated with UV-resistant gel coat or spray paint to adapt to outdoor environment.
