FRP Tower
FRP tower is a corrosion-resistant, high-strength equipment made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (composite material). It is widely used in chemical, environmental protection, power and other industries for gas absorption, purification, cooling and other processes. Its advantages include light weight, high strength, acid and alkali resistance, long life, easy molding, and can replace traditional metal towers.

Classification of FRP Towers
Based on their use and structure, FRP towers can be divided into the following categories:
(1) Classification by function
Absorption tower: used for gas purification, such as acid mist absorption tower, waste gas treatment tower
Washing tower: used for industrial waste gas washing, such as alkali washing tower, acid washing tower
Cooling tower: used for circulating water cooling, such as closed cooling tower, open cooling tower
Distillation tower: used for chemical separation process, such as distillation tower, extraction tower
Reaction tower: used for chemical reaction process, such as polymerization tower, synthesis tower

Vertical FRP tower: suitable for occasions with limited space
Horizontal FRP tower: suitable for large flow processing

Production Process
Raw material preparation
Material: Unsaturated polyester resin, vinyl resin, epoxy resin, etc. (select according to corrosion resistance requirements).
Reinforcement: glass fiber cloth, chopped strand mat, surface mat, etc.
Auxiliary materials: curing agent, accelerator, filler, etc.
Select molds according to customer needs to ensure accurate size.
Inner lining production
Use corrosion-resistant resin (such as vinyl ester) and surface mat/chopped strand mat, and form by hand lay-up or injection process to ensure sealing and anti-permeability.
Reinforcement layer winding
Structural layer: Through mechanical winding or hand lay-up process, alternately lay glass fiber yarn, fabric and resin to provide mechanical strength.
Wrapping process: Use computer-controlled winding machine to perform spiral/circular winding according to design parameters (angle, tension) to optimize pressure bearing capacity.
Curing and Demolding
Curing at room temperature or heating curing (such as 80℃~120℃ drying room) to ensure that the resin is fully cross-linked and achieves the best mechanical properties.
After curing, remove the mold and check the smoothness and structural integrity of the inner wall.
Post-processing and Assembly
Polishing: remove burrs, repair bubbles or defects. Install flanges, nozzles and other accessories, and perform air tightness/water pressure tests.
Customized Service
- Size customization: diameter 0.5~5 meters, height can be made in sections.
- Material adaptation: select resin (epoxy, phenolic) and fiber type according to the medium (such as strong acid, high temperature gas).
- Functional design: spray layer, demister, monitoring interface, etc. can be integrated.

High Strength
The specific strength of FRP is higher than that of steel, and the hoop tensile strength can reach more than 300MPa.
Corrosion Resistance
It can resist corrosion from chemical media such as acids, alkalis, salts, and organic solvents, and its service life is more than 30 years.
Light Weight
The density is only 1/4 of that of steel pipes, which is convenient for transportation and installation.
Low Friction Coefficient
The inner wall is smooth (roughness coefficient 0.0084), the hydraulic performance is excellent, and the conveying efficiency is high.
Good thermal insulation
Low thermal conductivity (0.25W/m·K), reducing heat energy loss.
Anti-aging&Electrical insulation
Anti-ultraviolet agent is added, suitable for outdoor and harsh environments. Non-conductive, suitable for power, communication and other fields.
