Full Implementation of the New National Standard HG/T 21633-2024 FRP Towers Lead the Industry Compliance Upgrade

In 2026, the new national standard “FRP Storage Tanks” (HG/T 21633-2024) issued by the State Administration of Petroleum and Chemical Industry was fully implemented, replacing the original old standard. It has become the core criterion for the production, inspection and acceptance of the FRP storage tank and related FRP tower industry, marking that China’s FRP anti-corrosion equipment industry has entered a new stage of compliant and high-quality development.

It is reported that the newly implemented national standard HG/T 21633-2024 has been comprehensively optimized and upgraded on the basis of the original standard, focusing on strengthening the requirements for material performance, structural safety, anti-corrosion grade and environmental protection of FRP equipment. Among them, it clearly specifies the quality standards of resins and fiber materials used in FRP storage tanks and towers, requiring higher thresholds for acid and alkali resistance and high and low temperature resistance.
